We aim for a close student-teacher relationship in our customised classes so that pupils feel comfortable and confident enough to push themselves and make the most of the attention they receive one-on-one or in a reduced group. We believe this strong connection will help them reach their targets sooner.
![]() | Oral expression: We prioritise communication skills on all our ‘Made For You’ courses so that students practise speaking and listening directly in the target language as much as possible, training their ear to native accents and learning correct pronunciation from their teacher. We encourage students to engage in speaking activities and discussions as much as possible on a range of relevant topics with their teacher or in their bespoke groups. |
![]() | Listening comprehension: Pupils will listen to and watch both formal and informal recordings and videos to improve their skills and practise either the grammar and vocabulary or the technical language appropriate to their level and subject. |
![]() | Grammar and vocabulary: Our approach to teaching grammar is to break down each point and make it universally comprehensible without overwhelming or boring our students. We explain vocabulary by using clear lists, definitions and examples, with practical and fun exercises to test pupils’ assimilation. |
![]() | Reading comprehension: Reading tasks will further check this assimilation, and students will complete exercises to assess their comprehension of the text, discussing it orally in more detail. |
![]() | Written expression: Written expression practises pupils’ usage of grammar, vocabulary, correct register and ability to communicate with ease. It will be mainly set for homework, and our teachers will explain how to organise texts in class, giving students a variety of examples and templates they can base their work on. |
